Job summary

MacLeod Cares Annapolis Royal Nursing Home in Annapolis Royal, NS, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide holistic, Resident-centered care and lead the care team.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within the LPN scope, supervise Continuing Care Assistants, and collaborate with the health team to ensure safe, high-quality nursing.

We support mentorship, training, and professional growth for both new and experienced nurses in a compassionate, community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN Certification in Nova Scotia, including pharmacology, health assessment, and medication administration.
• Certification in Safe Resident Handling.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise and support care staff.
• Strong clinical judgement, assessment, and documentation skills.
• A clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic Resident-centered care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for Residents.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Continuing Care Assistants in the Home.
