Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team. You will perform authorized duties under provincial rules, receive and transcribe prescriptions, and ensure accuracy in all steps of dispensing.

In jurisdictions where permitted, you may provide injections and vaccinations while maintaining patient safety and privacy. You will transfer and receive prescriptions, conduct final checks, and verify patient information in records.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
