Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Vancouver is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team.

You will perform authorized duties as dictated by provincial regulatory bodies and support safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include receiving and transcribing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, administering injections where allowed, transferring prescriptions, and conducting final checks to protect patient health.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
• Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions.
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
