Qualifications

• Regulated professional licenced with the provincial college of pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and compound prescriptions with independent authority and liability
• Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations
• Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies
• Ensure the accuracy of prepared prescriptions and conduct final checks
• Confirm the accuracy of drug and patient health information in records
