Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our national pharmacy team, spanning banners coast to coast across Canada.

Licensed as a regulated professional, you will perform authorized duties and contribute to exceptional patient-centered care within our community-focused health network. Responsibilities include transcribing verbal prescriptions, ensuring completeness and authenticity, administering injections where permitted, and transferring prescriptions between pharmacies.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
• Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
• Transferring prescriptions to and from other pharmacies.
• Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
• Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions.
• Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
