Job summary

Specsavers Vaughan is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our store team. You will guide customers through eyewear choices, ensure accurate dispensing and measurements, and work closely with retail and clinical staff to deliver high-quality eyecare and service.

You will provide personalized frame and lens recommendations, perform quality checks, and support after-care and promotions while maintaining brand standards and excellent customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Be registered with the College of Opticians and hold a valid Dispensing Optician License in your province.
• Have at least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, staying organized under pressure.
• Reliability and flexibility to work retail hours.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor with the ability to provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Specsavers cannot provide immigration or permanent residency support.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding visual needs and interpreting prescriptions.
• Provide guidance on frame and lens selection for comfort, fit, and style.
• Perform dispensing measurements and conduct quality checks on eyewear.
• Maintain updated knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments, and promotions.
• Manage after-care services and resolve complaints effectively.
• Support contact lens recommendations as directed by store leadership.
• Handle third-party billing professionally and accurately.
• Coach team members to develop optical knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to daily store operations and uphold Specsavers brand standards.
