Job summary

TruckRight is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain diesel tractor-trailers for internal and external customers, ensuring roadworthiness of company and leased equipment.

The role covers preventative maintenance on trailers and trucks, inspection of tires, brakes, air systems, clutch linkage, electrical systems, PMs, welding, and suspension components while adhering to safety and PPE protocols. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
• Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
• Red Seal is an asset.
• CVIP Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on trailers (and trucks when needed).
• Check tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, PMs, electrical work, brakes, suspension and product pump rebuilds.
• Welding.
• Follow safety and use of proper PPE.
• Follow procedures.

Job description

The Mechanic is responsible for repairs and the maintenance of diesel powered tractor-trailers, for both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring the road worthiness of company and leased equipment.

Responsibility

• Preventative maintenance on Trailers but must be open to work on trucks as well.
• Preventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension and product pump rebuilds.
• Welding
• Follow safety and use of proper PPE.
• Follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Red Seal is an asset.
• CVIP Certification is an asset.
• Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
• Operation of hand and air tools.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• Some overtime maybe required
• $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
