Job summary

Next Youth Job is seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections at our White River, Ontario location. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a college diploma, and a valid Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, repairing systems, estimating parts and labor, and communicating with customers about needed repairs

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in mechanical repair.
• English language proficiency required.
• On-site work mandatory at White River, ON.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect motor in operation.
• Review work orders.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Test and adjust units to specifications.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
