Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
  • Replace or repair damaged components, engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical parts.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, service documents, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts, and maintenance activities.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to diagnose, repair, maintain, and service vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Replace or repair damaged components, engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical parts.
  • Perform oil changes, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment servicing.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, service documents, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment meets required operating standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts, and maintenance activities.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop machinery safely.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete repair and maintenance work efficiently.
  • Follow Canadian workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in Mechanics or a related field is preferred.
  • 2–5+ years of relevant mechanical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Experience using mechanical and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and service documentation.
  • Good problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's licence may be required depending on the position.
  • Red Seal certification or provincial trade certification is an asset for applicable mechanic positions.
  • Ability to work safely in a workshop, industrial, construction, or field environment.
