Job summary

The Seaboard Transport Group is seeking Licensed Mechanics to join our teams in Sydney, NS. We offer competitive wages, tool and boot allowances, tuition reimbursement, coveralls, comprehensive benefits, year-round work, and a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

As a license mechanic, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs, engage in safety meetings, and work with a collaborative team. Red Seal certification is required; B620 inspection experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector is an asset but not required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Red Seal certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
