Job summary

The Seaboard Transport Group is seeking an Apprentice Mechanic for our Sherwood Park, AB team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, participate in safety meetings, and communicate effectively with colleagues.

We encourage ongoing training and offer tools, boots, and a tuition reimbursement program to support your development. Flexible scheduling and a supportive, family-owned environment await you.

Qualifications

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector is an asset but not required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers or welding is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.
