Job summary

The Seaboard Transport Group in Dartmouth, NS is seeking Licensed Mechanics to join our family-owned team. You will maintain and repair equipment, participate in safety meetings, and uphold high service standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to safety regulations to keep our fleet on the road. Red Seal certification is preferred and B620 inspector experience is a plus; strong computer skills and diagnostic ability are valued.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification required for truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• B620 inspector experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Experience with tankers, dry vans, reefers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Red Seal certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
