Job summary

Gentek Building Products in Burlington, ON, is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain and repair mechanical equipment, troubleshoot production lines, and install machinery per blueprints. The role supports a safe, productive workplace on day shifts with rotating days/nights as needed.

The requirements include Ontario Red Seal Millwright 433A, 2–3 years of trade experience, CMMS/Excel knowledge, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Ontario Red Seal Millwright 433A certification required.
• 2-3 years of trade experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs and electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components
• Strong Knowledge of oil pumps and cooling/heating systems
• Create, repair and install machine guarding
• Ability to detect, troubleshoot, and repair irregularities and malfunctions in production equipment
• Fabricate parts as required, do overhauls, and changeovers/set ups as required
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
• Dismantles machines and equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete documentation/paperwork as required
• Communicate with Supervisors and Managers on safety or process related issues
• Adhere to plant safety rules, health and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must possess an Ontario Certificate of Qualification, Red Seal Millwright 433A License
• Preferably 2-3 years trade experience
• Experience in an extrusion equipment environment is an asset
• Available to work 8 hour day shift but must also be available to work rotating days, nights, and afternoons and overtime as needed
• Strong written and oral English communication skills combined with excellent attendance
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and safely
• Knowledge of CMMS systems, excel, Microsoft Windows/Office
• Secondary Trade Qualifications and/or experience in Electrical, Welding, or Pipefitting are definite assets
• Knowledge of PLC's.

• Regularly required to stand, bend, twist, lift, use hands, finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 lbs.
