Job Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment modifications related to production processes and facilities. This includes adhering to food safety, health and safety procedures, and maintenance administrative protocols (e.g., work orders and PM documentation).

Schedule

Continental Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance (preventive & predictive) promptly and log activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Repair equipment, analyze root causes of breakdowns, and communicate findings effectively.
• Provide on-floor support to maintenance team members, including coverage during off-shifts and weekends as needed.
• Assist in improving the work order system.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to implement permanent solutions for equipment and process issues.
• Support the development and documentation of maintenance procedures and training programs.
• Participate in technical projects as a team member.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Licensed millwright (e.g., 433A), or related technician/technologist degree/diploma, preferably with electrical, mechanical, or robotics specialization.
• Proficiency with CMMS, including completing work orders and generating new ones.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication, learning, and teaching skills.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and regulations.
• Motivated to conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with MS Office suite.
