Position: Mechatronics Engineer

Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Mechatronics Engineer will perform switchgear commissioning at the factory and design custom switchgear solutions to match customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform factory commissioning of switchgears according to electrical engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Program relays and controllers, and test systems as required for projects.
• Review and understand design requirements for customized medium voltage switchgears.
• Design and modify the layout and packaging of subassemblies to meet design requirements.
• Detail and draft new parts for new designs.
• Prepare mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and bill of materials.
• Participate in tooling and fixture design as needed.
• Plan and complete designated design work according to schedule.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in automation design, programming, and testing.
• Experience with 3D CAD modelling (Creo preferred).
• Knowledge of logic control systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and SAP.
• Quick learner with multitasking abilities.

Annual salary ranges from $59,000 to $81,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
