Job description

Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Mechatronics Engineer will perform switchgear commissioning at the factory and design custom switchgear solutions to match customer specifications.

As a Mechatronics Engineering Specialist you will:

• Perform factory commissioning of switchgears as per the electrical engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Program relays and controllers, and test systems as required for projects.
• Review and understand design requirements of customized medium voltage switchgears.
• Design and modify the layout and package of the subassemblies to meet the design requirement
• Detail and draft new parts required for new designs.
• Prepare mechanical drawings with dimensions, tolerance and bill of material
• Participate in tooling and fixture design as needed.
• Plan and complete defined design work per schedule.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
• 1-2 years’ experience in automation design, programming and testing.
• 3D CAD modelling experience (Creo preferred)
• Logic control systems
• Possesses computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Is familiar with CAD softwares like Solidworks, Creo and AutoCAD
• Has worked with ERP systems like JD Edwards and SAP
• Is a quick learner with multitasking abilities

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $59,000.00 – $81,000.00 annually.
