Job summary

Highline Mushrooms in Crossfield, AB seeks an experienced licensed electrician to maintain and improve electrical systems in a food production facility. You will troubleshoot, install wiring, read blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 40.00 CAD per hour, with work weeks of five days and after-hour call-ins as needed. Overtime eligibility and comprehensive health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of computers, PLCs, frequency drives and power generation equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Focus on facility and equipment electrical issues.
• Troubleshooting existing installations.
• Install wiring and cables and repair electrical controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
• Test voltage, loads and fault integrity; troubleshoot faults.
• Ground and bond electrical equipment and structures.
• Renovate electrical systems in commercial structures.

General Duties:

• Focus on facility and equipment electrical issues
• Troubleshooting existing installations
• Able to come in after hour call-ins
• Install wiring and cables
• Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures
• Renovate electrical systems in commercial structures
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Performs any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of computers, plc’s, frequency drives and power generation equipment operation

Hours of Work:

• 5 days / week; 7:00am to 5:00pm
• Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
• Daily shift end times vary based on production needs

Earnings:

• $40.00 Hourly
