Job summary

Tuscany Dental Centre in Victoria, BC is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to join our team of leading clinicians. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take X-rays, and maintain patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The wage range is $32 to $38 per hour, reflective of experience. Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm, with opportunities for professional growth within a modern practice.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

The wage range is from $32 to $38 per hour, reflective of experience. Hourly wage is determined based on the candidate’s work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
