Job summary

Ocean Dental in Burnaby is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant for a full-time role. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and maintain IPAC standards to ensure patient comfort and safety.

You must be registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your provincial regulatory body. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred. The wage is $30–$36 per hour, with a supportive team and opportunities for professional growth.

• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

• Tuesday 7:00 - 4:30
• Wednesday 9:30 - 7:30
• Thursday 9:30 - 7:30
• Saturday 7:30 - 5:30
