Job summary

Hilltop Dental in Duncan, BC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, and support patient education while maintaining safety and IPAC standards.

Registered and/or Certified Dental Assistant with your provincial regulatory body is required; previous experience is preferred. We offer uniform allowance, RRSP matching, PDC attendance, and extended health benefits.

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule:

• Mon: 8:30-4:30
• Tues to Thurs: 8:15-4:15 paid lunch breaks

Wage

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $32-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
