Job summary

Hilltop Dental in Duncan, BC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. This role prepares treatment rooms, assists dentists and hygienists, takes X-rays, and maintains infection control to deliver high-quality care.

You will support scheduling, chart updates, and patient education while upholding privacy and safety standards in a modern practice that values professional growth and work-life balance. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be registered/certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body.
• Dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

This posiiton offers Uniform allowance, RRSP matching, PDC attendance, and extended health benefits.

Schedule:

• Mondays: 8:30-4:30

• Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:15-4:15

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is $32-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
