Job summary

Hilltop Dental in Duncan, BC, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our friendly, patient-centered team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take dental X-rays, and ensure instruments are sterilized according to IPAC standards.

You will update charts, help with scheduling and patient flow, support the team with administrative tasks, and foster strong patient relationships while upholding privacy and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule:

• Mondays: 8:30-4:30
• Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:15-4:15
• paid lunch breaks

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $32-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
