Job summary

Vic West Dentistry in Victoria, BC, is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, maintain infection control, and keep patient charts up to date.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body.
• Experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide oral hygiene education.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
