Trinity Western University is seeking a Technical Services Supervisor to lead and administer library systems support, acquisitions, cataloguing, and metadata workflows. The role requires a library-focused diploma and several years in a technical services environment, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

The position includes supervising staff, supporting budget processes, and ensuring smooth operation of SirsiDynix Symphony and related discovery tools.

Qualifications

• Library Technician diploma required; bachelor’s degree/related discipline asset.
• 3–5 years library experience; 2+ years systems/technical services experience.
• Experience with integrated library systems and metadata workflows.

Responsabilités

• Oversee system support and administration for library systems.
• Catalogue and create metadata records across formats using current standards.
• Oversee acquisitions and add records in the library system; manage budgets.
• Provide Borrower Services back-up coverage and generate circulation reports.
• Supervise library technicians and student workers; perform annual reviews.
• Contribute to library policy and professional development.
