The Library Service Associate (LSA) is responsible for the daily provision of library services for Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) at the assigned branch location. The majority of the work of the LSA involves actively assisting pa-trons within the library. The LSA may also work outside the branch at events in the community.
This position involves regular interactions with people who attend the li-brary for research, to attend programs, and to access library services and collections. The LSA also assists library patrons experiencing physical and mental barriers, as well as marginalization and/or social exclusion.
The LSA works cooperatively with colleagues at the library to ensure that the daily operational needs are met.
