Job summary

The City of Laval is seeking a Librarian Specialist to join the Collections Development team in Laval. You will implement programs and policies related to library products and services and coordinate the work of staff.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s in library information science and has two years of relevant experience, with strong analytical, collaborative and client-service skills. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

• Have two (2) years of experience relevant to the activities described in the summary.

SCHEDULE: 33.45 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 09:00 to 17:00

The challenges that await you

Under the authority of the Collections Development Manager, you will be called upon to collaborate in the implementation of programs and policies related to the products and services offered by the library. You will coordinate the work of employees assigned to these activities. Additionally, you will supervise documentary research activities, selection of documentary resources, information services, and inquiries intended for the relevant staff.
