Job summary

Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) seeks a Legislative Liaison to coordinate policy development and statutory changes. The role involves legislative strategy, research, and presenting to executives, legislators and stakeholders.

The position requires travel throughout Minnesota up to 50% and regular in-person work at the St. Paul office. A background in public policy and legal work is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressive work experience in public policy development, specializing in legal research, drafting of legal documents and/or legislation, and creating/delivering written and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate legislative activities and statutory changes.
• Testify at hearings and interact with stakeholders.
• Travel up to 50% and work in-person in Minnesota.
• Develop and implement policy objectives and legislative strategy.
