Qualifications

  • Office Administration – Legal or Law Clerk diploma required.
  • Minimum two years of law office experience, preferably in family law.
  • In-depth knowledge of court forms and court filing systems.
  • Proficiency in drafting, organizing, and presenting client financial disclosures, preliminary legal documents, and affidavits.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and DivorceMate/LEAP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team for a one-year contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting family law matters through the preparation of legal documents and court materials, coordination of client scheduling and communications, and diligent maintenance of files, dockets, and billings. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong drafting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service within a fast-paced family law practice.

This is a one-year contract (leave replacement) with the possibility of extension. Salary range: $48,000–$60,000.

Key Responsibilities
