Job description

Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Commercial Litigation Assistants at the Firm include but are not limited to :

  • Preparation of court documents, actions, applications, affidavits of documents, requests to admit, motion records, factums etc;
  • Scheduling appointments, court dates, examinations for discovery, mediations; and
  • Communicating effectively with clients.

Qualifications , Skills and Abilities Required :

  • Five-Seven years’ experience in the areas of litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency;
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MSWord, ACL and CaseLines;
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills;
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters;
  • Client focused;
  • Team player with a positive attitude;
  • Able to manage the administrative needs of the practices.

Working Conditions :

Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.
