The Opportunity
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leasing Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our leasing portfolio. This role will be instrumental in negotiating lease terms, managing landlord relationships, and analyzing lease data. With a portfolio of 100 stores and 15 new stores planned for next year, the Leasing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring optimal financial and operational outcomes for our real estate strategy.

Your Daily Adventures

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize lease terms and mitigate risks.
• Handle lease compliance issues, disputes, and other related challenges.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of lease agreements and financial impacts.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior management regarding lease performance and portfolio optimization.
• Monitor and manage critical lease dates to prevent missed opportunities or deadlines.
• Prepare monthly rent payments and analyze monthly sales reports.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to perform reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and address landlord overcharges.
• Audit year-end recovery invoices and step-ups to ensure landlords are not overbilling.

Your Toolkit

• 7 years of leasing or related experience with at least 5 years of experience in management
• Education in Business, Real Estate, or a related field
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial leasing practices, market trends, and real estate law.
• Familiarity with retail operations and multi-location portfolios is a strong advantage
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence landlords.
• Advanced analytical skills to evaluate lease terms, financial data, and market conditions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset.
• Verbal & oral efficiency in French and in English (knowledge of english is essential to effectively communicate with our anglophone partners)
