Job summary

YMCA BC is seeking a Manager, Lease and Property Management to lead property and lease operations at multiple sites in British Columbia. You will oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance, while driving cost efficiency and service quality.

The role reports to the Director, Capital Projects and Administration and includes managing a direct report, with a focus on safety and alignment with the Facilities and Asset Development Team.

Qualifications

• Requires post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 5–7 years in leadership role managing commercial leasing and property teams.
• Valid property management license and knowledge of WorkSafe BC, Building/Fire Codes, and OH&S regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead property and lease operations across facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, service quality and cost efficiency.
• Manage lease agreements, including negotiations, renewals, and provisions.
• Develop and oversee budgets for lease and facility operations; monitor financial performance.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure timely maintenance and service delivery.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for leased spaces and facilities; align with Facilities and Asset Development Team.
• Oversee lease portfolio optimization for cost savings and efficiency.
• Coordinate with landlords and authorities; oversee resource allocation for maintenance and lease administration.
• Prepare accurate reporting and maintain documentation per standards.
• Provide guidance, support, and performance management to the direct report.
