Job summary

YMCA BC in Chilliwack is seeking a Centre Manager to lead the Chilliwack Landing & Cheam Leisure Centres and Rotary Outdoor Pool (Seasonal). 35 hours per week, full-time, with start as soon as possible.

You will oversee planning, budgeting, staff development, health and safety, and partner engagement to deliver high-quality YMCA programs.

The role reports to the Director of Municipal Operations and offers benefits including health and dental, extended benefits, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in planning, operations and budgeting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse groups and partners.
• Excellent written communication and public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the Chilliwack Landing & Cheam Leisure Centres and Rotary Outdoor Pool.
• Lead staff and volunteers to foster continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality YMCA programs aligned with the mission and strategic plan.
• Develop and manage annual operational plans and program schedules.
• Build relationships with community partners to support health and recreation needs.
• Maintain high service standards and compliance with YMCA policies and standards.
• Coach and mentor staff to support engagement, performance, and retention.
• Meet reporting requirements for operations, finances and performance.
