Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Digital Communications, or Adult Learning is asset.
  • Experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Camtasia and Snagit for video editing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Accessibility per AODA standards.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience designing and developing digital learning content is a plus.
  • Web/HTML design is an asset.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the overall success of the Front-Line teams across the Client Experience Centers, Virtual and Retail Branch channels by designing and developing learning content that supports the organization’s service, capability‑building, and experience‑enhancement strategies. Ensures all deliverables are created and maintained in alignment with governing regulations, audit protocols, internal policies, and established standards.

As a Specialist,Learning Experience Designer, you will be responsible for developing learning content based on established learning frameworks

  • Understandanddelivera customerfocusedculturetodeepen client relationshipsandleveragebroader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Accountableforexecuting changerequestsforupdatedand newtraining content(including, but not limitedtoversion accuracy, request requirements, document review for formatting and language standards, etc.).
  • Develop or advise the overall framework, design, strategy of courses, ensuring alignment with learning needs and service level agreements.
  • Perform all ADDIE Model tasks from start to finish when developingcontent.
  • Assistwith the creation of facilitation decks.
  • Championusabilityandaccessibilityof learningmaterialbyutilizingdigitalcreationknowledge to develop accessible digital learning content.
  • Maintain learning programs to ensure up-to-date learning content, friendly usability, troubleshooting technical issues, etc. Provides end-user support and resolves low risk inquiries and concerns. Collaborates with the Learning Delivery team to execute courses and maintain existing learning programs.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
