Job summary

Altis Technology in Toronto/Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking an Instructional Designer to design engaging learning experiences across enterprise initiatives, including digital banking, AI training, and blended programs. You will collaborate with the Instructional Design Lead, SMEs and business stakeholders to turn complex information into clear, creative learning assets.

You will work hands-on with AI, information security, and organizational integration projects, using Canva and tools like

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on instructional design experience
• Experience designing and creating learning materials with examples
• Hands-on Canva and video creation experience required
• Experience with AI tools in learning design is a plus
• Financial services experience is preferred, strong tech background valued
• LMS experience with SABA or Cornerstone is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholder intake and translate business needs into engaging learning solutions
• Design and create modules, presentations, videos, job aids and other learning materials from concept to delivery
• Review and improve existing materials while supporting high volume of requests
• Design blended learning experiences including boot camps and virtual training
• Develop programs supporting AI, information security, digital banking, mobile tech and org integration
• Use Canva, Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise and Vyond to create content
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with stakeholders

About the Opportunity

Our client, an established Canadian financial services organization, is looking for a hands‑on Instructional Designer to join a growing Learning and Development team. Youll design practical, engaging learning experiences while supporting a busy calendar of enterprise-wide initiatives, including digital banking, AI training and blended learning programs.

Working closely with the Instructional Design Lead, fellow designers, subject matter experts and business stakeholders, youll turn complex information into clear, creative learning experiences. With a major organizational integration ahead, this is an opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping prepare employees for meaningful business and technology changes.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll design blended learning experiences, including boot camps, virtual learning and integrated training sessions.
• Youll develop programs supporting AI, information security, digital banking, mobile technology and organizational integration.
• Youll use tools such as Canva, Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise and Vyond to create engaging content.
• Youll manage multiple projects and deadlines while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on instructional design experience, ideally supporting enterprise-wide learning.
• Demonstrated experience personally designing and creating learning materials, with examples of work you can confidently discuss.
• Strong technical aptitude combined with creativity and an understanding of adult learning principles.
• Hands‑on Canva and video creation experience required.
• Financial services experience is preferred, while a strong technology background is also highly valued.
• Experience using AI tools, such as Copilot, within learning design is an asset.
• LMS experience, particularly SABA or Cornerstone, and relevant learning and development certifications are assets.
