Reporting to the Talent Development Manager, this role is responsible for content design and the delivery and facilitation of dynamic, engaging learning sessions—virtually and in person. The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise with a strong presence in the training room, helping to ensure learning is not only absorbed but felt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and facilitate engaging, effective training programs and course materials aligned with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate high-impact, engaging training sessions (virtual and in-person) that energize learners and build practical knowledge across diverse audiences.
  • Develop content for various formats (e-learning, instructor-led training, videos, job aids, assessments) using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Use active learning techniques, group activities, case studies, and interactive elements to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Adapt delivery style to audience and training environment while maintaining a strong facilitator presence.
  • Oversee the upload, maintenance, tracking, and reporting of training materials on the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is accessible and up to date.
  • Monitor and respond to LMS support requests, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Conduct evaluations of training programs, gather feedback, and make improvements to enhance learning outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Stay updated on the latest instructional design trends, tools, and technologies and integrate them into the design process.
  • Document design processes and provide regular reports to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for learning and development
  • Proven experience facilitating live learning sessions (in-person and virtual) using interactive, participant-centered methods. Confident, dynamic presence with the ability to read the room and adapt in real time.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia for creating e-learning modules and multimedia content.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms for content delivery, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and video editing software to enhance learning materials.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools like Captivate or Rise for building interactive learning experiences.
  • Ability to use tools like Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools to assess learner progress and program effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Bilingual (English and French) strongly preferred.
  • Hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
  • Valid G-class license required.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education, Human Resource Development, or a related field is required.
  • CTP or CTDP designation preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or corporate training is preferred for this role.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience facilitating live training sessions (virtual and/or in-person), using interactive and learner-focused delivery methods.
