Visions of Science is seeking a part-time Educator Engagement Facilitator to expand its educator-focused initiatives in STEM. This role involves designing professional development for teachers, co-facilitating workshops, and supporting inclusive teaching practices that enhance STEM learning, particularly for underserved communities. Effective facilitation and relationship-building are key in this role, which aims to foster a more equitable STEM education environment.

The Opportunity
Visions of Science is expanding its educator-focused initiatives to equip teachers with the tools and strategies needed to deliver inclusive, high-quality STEM learning. This includes professional development workshops, curriculum-aligned resources (K–12), and in-classroom co-facilitation—anchored in the 2022 Ontario Science and Technology curriculum and de-streamed science courses. These efforts aim to help educators confidently apply an equity lens, making STEM more engaging and relevant for all students, especially those historically underrepresented in the field.
As we grow this work, the Educator Engagement Facilitator will play a key role in designing and delivering learning experiences that promote inquiry-based, real-world, and culturally responsive approaches to STEM. They will also support classroom implementation through mentorship and coaching to ensure lasting impact.
Position Overview
As the Educator Engagement Facilitator, you will lead the development and delivery of professional learning for educators, helping them apply equity-focused, inquiry-driven STEM teaching practices. You’ll collaborate with schools and community partners to deliver workshops, co-facilitate in classrooms, and create supportive resources. Your work will directly contribute to more inclusive STEM learning environments where all students can thrive—particularly those from underserved communities.
