Kinetic Construction is in search of External Facilitators on a contract basis to design and facilitate leadership workshops for our internal training program, KCL Academy

Kinetic is a mid-sized construction company that employs approximately 200+ team members, has been in business for 40 years and has offices in Vancouver, Victoria, and Courtenay. We are proud to deliver internal training through KCL Academy, which delivers content in three distinct leadership streams: Leading Self, Leading Others and Leading the Organization. At KCL Academy, we believe that learning together is key to bridging company-wide knowledge gaps, enabling us to deliver high-quality construction projects that exceed our clients’ expectations.

Our comprehensive programs are designed to empower every employee, whether they are an aspiring apprentice or a seasoned leader, with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their role.

All content is delivered virtually, via Teams. Each program has an internal Sponsor, supported by the Talent and Development team and is hosted by an External Facilitator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop workshop content that aligns with Kinetic’s values and leadership competencies.
  • Facilitate online learning sessions that are engaging and interactive.
  • Participate in preparation and feedback sessions before and after workshops
  • Create all visual content, course descriptions, and submit to the admin team for distribution at least two weeks before each session
  • Providing executive coaching is optional, but considered an asset

Position Specifications

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of facilitation, instruction, and course development experience
  • 5+ years of professional public speaking experience
  • Degree in education, social work, business or organizational psychology is considered an asset

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Experience with online facilitation and technology
  • Knowledge and practical application of adult learning and instructional design theory and best practices
  • Strong communicator, relationship builder and business leader
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is considered an asset
