Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, Quebec is seeking a Director of Methods to lead a team of salaried professionals. You will drive the Methods group, oversee change management, and ensure alignment with Bombardier’s quality and production standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Purchasing to optimize product flow, apply lean principles, and meet tight deadlines while communicating effectively in French and English.

Qualifications

• University/college degree required with significant experience in Methods.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing aviation.
• Strong leadership and people management aptitude.
• Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Fluent in French and English; strong communication skills.
• Experience in Green and Completion environments is a plus.

• Plan, organize, and supervise the activities of the Methods group.
• Lead with vision and values aligned to Bombardier Aviation.
• Manage team, finances, and achievement of objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement using operational excellence and problem-solving processes.

What are your contributions to the team?

In your role, reporting to the Director, Methods, you will:

• Plan, organize, motivate, and supervise the activities of a dozen of salaried employees of the Methods group
• Exercise your leadership respecting the vision and values of Bombardier Aviation
• Assume the management responsibilities of your team, finance, and the achievement of your team`s objectives
• Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process
• Coach your team to develop talent within the organization
• Work closely with various groups such as Engineering, Program, Production, Logistic, Purchasing and Quality to optimize change management, problem solving, and improve product flow

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a university degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or a college degree with significant experience in Methods
• You possess at least ten (10) years of experience in the domain of manufacturing aviation
• You posses excellent management aptitudes
• You have a solid knowledge in lean manufacturing
• You have good judgment, are flexible, results oriented, and at ease with tight deadlines
• You possess a great sense of initiative
• You are highly motivated, a team player able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• You speak and write fluently in French and English and have aptitudes for efficient communication
• Having experience in a Green and Completion environment is a benefit
