Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval Plant 3 seeks a Leader, Methods to guide ten to fifteen salaried team members within the Methods group, coordinating with production and engineering to drive changes and continuous improvement.

You bring a decade of experience in detail part manufacturing for aerospace, with a degree in engineering or industrial engineering, plus strong leadership to deliver results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or a college diploma with several years in Methods or Quality.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Experience with detail part manufacturing for aerospace or assembly.
• Strong leadership and management skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, motivate, and supervise the activities of ten to fifteen salaried from our Methods groups.
• Manage a team supporting production line and implement engineering changes.
• Define and control processes linking department with external stakeholders.
• Coordinate methods activities across internal Bombardier functions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service.

What are your contributions to the team?

• You will be responsible for planning, organizing, motivating, and supervising the activities of ten to fifteen salaried from our Methods groups.
• You will be responsible of a team supporting production line, but also implement engineering change.
• You may be responsible for process revisions and implementation.
• You will assume all HR responsibilities of a team, financial management and technology development department and improvements projects.
• You will have to coordinate methods activities across internal Bombardier functions.
• You will also define and control the processes that link the department with external stakeholders and ensure you provide excellent customer service.
• You will also lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have experience with detail part manufacturing for aerospace or assembly. You have relevant project management experience.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or a college diploma with several years of experience working in a Methods or Quality team.
• You have minimum of ten (10) years’ experience.
• You have excellent management skills.
• You have knowledge in lean manufacturing.
• You have good judgment, flexibility, you are results oriented, able to work under minimum supervision and you observe tight delivery deadlines.
• You have many resources, and you are ready to work in a winning team.
• You have strong organizational skills and excellent technical knowledge; you demonstrate a certain talent in communication and leadership.
• You are highly motivated, a team player, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• You have previous project management experience, would be an asset.
