Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment seeks a Leader-In-Training for the MLSE LaunchPad summer program in Toronto. You will assist in designing and running in-person youth activities, guided by the “Youth First, Always” value, with paid training and a seven-week placement.

Youth aged 15-17 are invited to apply, with parental consent if under 18. A positive attitude and passion for sport are essential, and participation supports community impact and skill development.

Qualifications

  • You are between the ages of 15-17.
  • You are able to obtain parent or guardian consent if under 18.
  • You are currently enrolled in high school and intending to stay in, or return to high school or access post-secondary education at the end of the contract.
  • You have a passion for working with youth in a sport setting.
  • You have a positive attitude!

Responsibilities

  • Helping to design, organize, and run in-person MLSE LaunchPad summer programs.
  • Ensuring that all activities are age appropriate and FUN!
  • Making a positive impact in the community through coaching and facilitating.
  • Making sure programs run smoothly each day by arriving prepared, following lesson plans, and working cooperatively with the rest of the team.
  • Communicating with MLSE LaunchPad staff regarding program needs and improvements.

As a Leader-In-Training (LIT), you will be provided with 1 week of paid training at MLSE LaunchPad and will receive certifications to prepare you for the work this summer and beyond!
