Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to drive youth programs at MLSE LaunchPad. You will develop strategies, coordinate in-reach efforts, and maintain school partnerships to ensure positive experiences for youth in our programs and events.

You will organize campaigns, support youth advisory activities, and help plan summer camps, school breaks, and special events while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver inclusive programming.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in community engagement or youth in-reach/outreach.
  • Experience overseeing budgets.
  • Experience supervising staff and volunteers.
  • Understanding of Youth First Always and importance in youth sport context.
  • Commitment to applying anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a youth engagement strategy to support positive experiences in MLSE LaunchPad programs.
  • Provide direct in-reach support for multi-year and new programs and programs serving specific populations.
  • Maintain relationships with local schools to inform teachers, youth and parents about opportunities.
  • Assist with scheduling and marketing activities, campaigns and strategies for youth programs.
  • Generate promotional materials such as brochures, newsletters and email updates.
  • Lead and represent the MLSE LaunchPad Youth Advisory Committee within the space.
  • Support youth-focused events to sustain engagement among members.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan Summer Camps, breaks and holiday programming, PA Days and events.

Reporting to the Manager of Engagement, you will be responsible for coordinating In-Reach initiatives, external group and school excursions to MLSE LaunchPad, creating collaborative initiatives, overseeing positive program experiences for youth in programs, and maintaining the strong family culture we have at MLSE LaunchPad.You will have the opportunity to contribute to the administration, planning, evaluation, and growth of the youth engagement strategy.What’s Great About This Job:As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall positive experience of the MLSE LaunchPad members participating in our amazing programs, cool opportunities and special events.
