Job summary

Apave Canada in Fredericton, NB is seeking a Lead Composite Technician to perform advanced repairs on wind turbine blades, nacelles and nose cones. You will supervise field and shop technicians and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams.

You should have 3+ years of hands-on composite experience, knowledge of vacuum infusion and gel coat, and safety certifications; travel and overnight stays may be required. Health benefits after probation are provided.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience in composite repairs.
Strong knowledge of composite materials, vacuum infusion, and gel coat application.
GWO and IRATA certification would be an asset.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform advanced composite repairs on wind turbine blades, nacelles and nose cones (structural, surface and lightning).
Supervise and mentor a team of technicians in the field and shop.
Assist with setup, inspection and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance and technical services to complete projects.
Maintain knowledge of best practices, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
