Job summary

Apave North America Corp. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for Wind Turbine Services in Canada. This full-time role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of wind turbine systems, with travel to sites including overnight stays.

You must hold a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certificate, be able to work at heights, have a valid driver's license, and bring strong safety awareness. GWO is a plus; experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance is beneficial.

Journeyman Electrician- Wind Turbine Services

Apave Canada has an immediate, full-time position available for Wind Service/Composite Technician within our Wind Services Department.

Job Duties

• Conducting wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair activities.
• Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to complete projects and resolve any issues.

• Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance.
• Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certificate
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Travel (including overnight stays out of town) will be required.
• GWO certification would be an asset.
• Experience with basic electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance tasks would be an asset.

Safety Requirements:

• Steel-toe boots are required; Apave Canada will provide additional PPE.

Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.
