A community-focused organization in Vancouver is seeking Summer Camp Expedition Leaders to shape children's experiences through outdoor adventure from April to September 2026. Responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, and promoting inclusion for campers aged 11-15. Candidates should have experience in wilderness settings, first aid certification, and strong interpersonal skills. This role offers competitive daily wages and food accommodations, contributing to an enriching camp environment.

Qualificações

• Completed High School required, with post-secondary education/courses an asset.
• Experience working with children and youth in a wilderness environment.
• Current Bronze Cross or National Lifeguard certification is valued.
• SKGABC Assistant Overnight Guide certification and/or Paddle Canada Canoeing certifications are assets.

Responsabilidades

• Meet emotional, physical and safety needs of a group of youth.
• Live in rustic cabins or yurts with a camper group.
• Plan and deliver group programs, leading activities and camp-wide games.
• Manage group dynamics to ensure camper safety and inclusion.
• Follow YMCA Camping and BCCA accreditation standards in program delivery.

Conhecimentos

Experience working with children and youth in a wilderness environment

Wilderness First Aid with CPR-C

Interpersonal skills

French-speaking bilingual
