Job summary

The City of Hamilton is seeking a Senior Process Engineer, Plant Operations, to serve as the primary operations SME for water and wastewater capital projects. You will provide leadership on planning, design and construction of treatment facilities and processes, reporting to the Manager, Plant Operations.

The role requires a P.Eng in Ontario, a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, and extensive water/wastewater experience, with strong project leadership, budgeting, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• Extensive knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and related regulations.
• Experience planning, designing and delivering municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on water and wastewater capital projects.
• Provide engineering support for process optimization and capital program delivery.
• Prepare input for capital budgets and schedule projects.
• Represent the City in meetings with contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
