Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced validation engineer to shape next-generation networking and edge‑compute solutions. You will own validation across the full lifecycle, from architecture to product release, collaborating with hardware, software, and product teams.

You will lead strategic validation efforts, mentor engineers, and work with customers and partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of industry‑leading devices such as high‑speed interfaces and FPGA platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 12+ years related experience.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of validation strategies for next-generation networking and edge-compute products across the full product lifecycle.
• Define validation plans, qualification criteria, coverage metrics, and release readiness requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain advanced validation platforms spanning hardware, FPGA, software, automation, and system-level integration.
• Lead investigation and root-cause analysis of complex silicon, hardware, firmware, software, networking, and interoperability issues.
• Drive technical decision-making and influence product architecture, validation methodologies, and technical roadmaps.
