Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead the UI trajectory for our projects in Montreal. You will guide the UI/UX team, align with artists and programmers, and ensure visual excellence within technical limits.

You bring 5+ years of leadership in UI/UX design, strong art fundamentals, and expert use of Photoshop/Illustrator. A versatile, creative thinker who can guide a team across diverse styles will thrive here.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in graphic design, game art, illustration, or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer leading a team.
• Strong foundations in art, visual communication, and design principles.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong creative mindset for ideation, innovation, and UX.
• Versatility across a wide range of styles and genres.
• Knowledge of animation, motion graphics, and print design is an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead UX/UI Designer

Reports to: Creatif Director

Permanent – Full-Time

What you will do

• Establish, maintain, and communicate the UI direction for the project to ensure that the UI/UX team executes this vision as faithfully as possible;
• Collaborate with artists and programmers to ensure the best visual quality possible while respecting the game's technical constraints;
• Support, inspire, and coach artists while providing them with clear, well-thought-out direction and feedback on their work;
• Participate in defining and prioritizing artistic milestones and define the UI team's workload;
• Follow up with the UI team to ensure that each member delivers their tasks on time and with quality;
• Maximize working methodology and processes used so that each team member's contribution is optimal.

What you bring

• College or university degree in graphic design, game art, illustration, or equivalent training;
• 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer artist who has already led a team on a small or large project;
• Solid foundational knowledge of art, visual communication, and design principles;
• Excellent practical artistic skills: from previsualization and concept art to color correction and fine-tuning;
• Strong creative mindset for ideation, innovation, and UX;
• Versatility and ease working across a wide range of styles and genres;
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator;
• Knowledge of animation, motion graphics, and print design is an asset.
