Job summary

DMC Mining Services is seeking a Construction Supervisor for our Sudbury Operations on a contract basis. You will lead day-to-day operations, supervise crews, and ensure safe, on-budget task completion for mining projects.

This role requires 5+ years in mining, underground experience, strong safety knowledge, and excellent communication. On-site work with potential shift rotations; CAD 30 per hour plus incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Certified in mining Common Core and accreditation.
• 5+ years of similar mining experience.
• Expert knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
• Experience managing and leading a team of employees.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• 3 years’ experience working underground projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead daily shift operations to complete tasks safely and on time.
• Coordinate production work with mechanical, electrical and engineering service groups.
• Supervise, plan and lead the safe operation of mine mobile equipment throughout the shift.
• Coordinate mine operations activities with other departments and contractors.
• Train and develop a diverse workforce in safe and efficient operation of equipment.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and provide a safe work environment.
