Job summary

DMC Mining Services in Sudbury, ON is seeking a Mine Technician for a full-time contract. This entry-level role offers hands-on training to start your mining career.

You will assist with underground construction, QA/QC support, and reporting. Proficiency in Word/Excel and AutoCAD is expected, with strong communication and teamwork valued. This position is on-site and offers an hourly wage with incentive bonuses.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mining (or Civil) Technology.
• Entry level position – hands on training will be provided.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Proficient at AutoCAD.
• Exceptional written, oral communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides prominent organizational skills to support the construction team for underground work.
• Works closely with the Project Engineer to ensure all requirements to execute the work are available and supported in a timely manner.
• Regularly audit job boards for missing prints or information.
• Regular audits of material to ensure material is available for upcoming tasks.
• Proficient with surveying. Ability to markup new headings, markup construction anchors and other civil structures.
• Complete concrete sampling (slump testing, collect break cylinders) as required.
• Complete a detailed report of work being completed on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Other related duties as may be assigned.
