Job summary

A leading ophthalmology partner, NVISION Eye Centers, is seeking a Lead Surgical Technician to monitor surgical techs in the OR and oversee sterile processing. This role requires leadership, compliance with regulations, and a focus on quality outcomes. Candidates must be Certified Surgical Technologists with management experience in an ASC or hospital OR setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of management experience focused on the OR.
  • Previous hands-on experience in both the OR and SPD.
  • Ophthalmology experience is preferred.

In this role, you will monitor and direct the activities of assigned surgical techs in the OR to achieve optimum performance, efficiency, and quality outcomes. You will also oversee the ASC’s sterile processing function.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and direct the activities of assigned surgical techs in the OR to achieve optimum performance, efficiency, and quality outcomes
  • Oversee the ASC’s sterile processing function
  • Perform duties of a surgical or instrument tech as needed to meet staffing requirements
  • Assume leadership responsibilities, including staffing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and standards
  • Identify and act on process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with the ASC Administrator and Charge Nurse to eliminate errors, reduce turnaround time, maintain workflow, and improve customer service
Qualifications
  • Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Previous hands-on experience in both the OR and SPD
  • Minimum of two years of management experience focused on the OR
  • Management experience in an ASC environment is preferred; equivalent hospital OR experience will be considered
  • Ophthalmology experience is preferred
Compensation

USD $27.00/Hr. - USD $30.00/Hr.
